Design & Development
Our engineers are available and responsive to assist in the design and development of your magnetic assemblies or custom manufactured parts. Polaris brings founder-level expertise in rare earth magnets, dating back to the 1980s at General Motors. Our founder, Mitch Spencer, was part of the original team developing neodymium iron boron magnets to lightweight GM alternators. This deep knowledge informs every solution we deliver.
Boots on the Ground Quality Control
Polaris sets itself apart through our Ningbo Northstar team in China, where founder Mitch Spencer owns half the company. This ownership enables open, frequent communication—three to four times per week—with engineers who have over 15 years of experience in magnetics assemblies, testing, and validation. We are IATF 16949 certified, and our dedicated purchasing and supplier development engineers ensure incoming quality from the Chinese supply base matches the high standards of our own manufacturing floor.

Global Logistics & Export Security Zero Supply Issues
While others faced disruptions, in 2025 we successfully received over 25 export licenses for our customers during periods of restriction, ensuring zero supply issues when others faced disruptions. Our logistics team features Cynthia Tang in Indianapolis, who speaks fluent Mandarin and collaborates daily with our China factory and global logistics partners. Her presence provides a distinct advantage through deep cultural understanding, enabling clearer and more effective communication than most competitors.
